Alfred Morris signs with Dallas Cowboys

Former Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris has had a pretty good career the last four years and it was reported last week that he was visiting the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys. It was reported early Tuesday morning that Morris would be signing with the Cowboys.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first broke the news this morning saying that he signed a two-year deal with the team. It is especially interesting since Morris used to dominate the Cowboys in his four years with the Redskins.

While Morris has had a pretty great career since being selected out of the sixth round in the 2012 draft, he fell off, rushing for a career-low 751 yards in 2015. In the three seasons prior to last season, Morris had rushed for 1,000-plus yards.

Morris adds an interesting notion for the Cowboys as they now have two talented running backs on their roster as Darren McFadden rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2015. This may make a big difference in what the Cowboys will do with their fourth overall pick in the draft this April.
