Ferguson, the No. 4 pick of the 2006 NFL draft, becomes the latest player to retire early in what appears to be a growing trend. Throughout his career, he was named to three Pro Bowls.
Just how reliable was Ferguson in New York over the past decade? Well, he started in all 160 of the games he played. It’s safe to say that the Jets will greatly miss Ferguson along the offensive line and his decision to retire could greatly alter the team’s draft strategy at the end of the month.
