One of the Los Angeles Lakers’ promising young stars could be receiving an incredible opportunity to take his career to the next level and set himself up for great success in the future.
That player is none other than D’Angelo Russell, who showed off his immaturity at times throughout the 2015-16 NBA season.
Now, Russell has the opportunity to learn how to be a pro on and off the court from one of the best to ever play the game, Lakers legend Magic Johnson. Johnson took to Twitter to say he spent time with Russell, who picked his brain, and that was enough for him to offer to mentor the young guard moving forward.
In my meeting with D'Angelo Russell, he picked my brain about the PG position and I'm looking forward to working out with him this summer!

If the former No. 2 overall pick takes Magic Johnson up on his offer, it could mean great things for the Lakers moving forward.
In his rookie season, Russell averaged 13.2 points in 28.2 minutes per game.
