The Miami Hurricanes were stricken with some tragic news on Wednesday when former wide receiver Brett Perriman was sent to the hospital with high blood pressure. He had collapsed and is currently on life support, according to slatersports.com.
The site reported that he was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after he collapsed.
The family reported that he was still on life support as of Tuesday morning, but he had made some progress towards recovery.
Members of the Hurricane family took to Twitter asking for prayers and support for their former brethren, including Baltimore Ravens wide receiver and Brett’s son, Breshad Perriman.

During his career at Miami, Brett Perriman recorded 550 punt return yards and a touchdowns and over 1,000 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He went on to have a 10-year career in the NFL, playing with four different teams during his career.
