The Toronto Raptors finished off the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals to advance to the Conference Finals for the first time in team history. Toronto Mayor John Tory is excited for his city’s team, but he is not too happy with CBS Sports over a recent poll.
The poll asked fans who they believed would win the NBA Championship and listed out Cleveland, Golden State and Oklahoma City, but left the last team as “other,” which did not sit well with Tory.
He then penned an open letter to CBS asking them if the Raptors would still be the “other” after they win the title.
The letter, to say the least, was absolutely epic.
As Mayor of "Other" I felt the need to talk to @CBSSports about their poll. #WetheOther pic.twitter.com/CYRqOljXHc

The Raptors are not favored to move past the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, but I am sure they did not appreciate being referred to as the other team. John Tory certainly took offense to it.
The Raptors begin their quest to the NBA Finals tonight when they take on the Cavaliers at 8:30 p.m. EST on ESPN.
