NY Liberty F Swin Cash to retire at season’s end

Swin Cash has been one of the best players in the history of the WNBA and it looks like her career is finally coming to an end. After 15 years in the league, the forward will hang up her shoes at the end of the 2016 season.

Cash was drafted second overall by the Detroit Shock in the 2002 WNBA Draft. She spent six seasons with the Shock and helped them to two WNBA championships and has also spent time with the Seattle Storm, Chicago Sky, Atlanta Dream, and NY Liberty.

Swin Cash was also a key member of two NCAA championship teams at UConn and is a two-time gold medalist. She will end up having her name forever enshrined in the Hall of Fame before it is all said and done.

Throughout her career in the WNBA, Cash has averaged 11 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
