The Duke Blue Devils have one of the best teams going into the 2016-17 season and are expected to contend for the national championship. On Thursday, it was reported that reserve big man Sean Obi underwent knee surgery and should begin rehab soon.
Obi tweeted out a picture on Thursday that showed him in a hospital bed with Dr. Riley Williams. He thanked the doctor for a job well done and it looks like he is excited to get started on recovery.

Sean Obi transferred to Duke from Rice in 2014 and sat out that year. He played a minimal role for the Blue Devils last year after he averaged 11.4 points and 9.3 rebounds during his freshman year with the Owls.
There is no telling what kind of role he will play for the Blue Devils this year, but he is certainly ready to help them out in whatever way he can. He will first have to get healthy, which could take all the way up to the start of the season.
