ACC coach touts Deshaun Watson, Brad Kaaya as top draft picks

Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson and Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya should both be great players for their teams this year and I would expect each of them to make a move towards being the top player in the 2017 NFL Draft. It seems that one coach in the ACC very much believes in the two players.

The two juniors could realistically return for one more season after 2016, but they will both likely be top picks in the draft next April. The coach talked about how both of them have NFL talent right now.

Both of them are top picks in the draft,” the coach told ESPN. “Those guys have all the attributes. They have the measurables, but they have the talent level, intelligence level, decision-making process, athleticism, accuracy. They have all those things. They’re big-time players.”

In 2015, Watson finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting after throwing for over 4,100 yards and 35 touchdowns while rushing for over 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns. Brad Kaaya has thrown for over 6,400 yards and 42 touchdowns in two seasons.

It would be magical for the ACC if they were to meet up in the conference title game in December.
