Earlier this week, longtime ESPN host John Saunders suddenly passed away.
His passing was a shock to the sports world and left everyone who knew him with heavy hearts. But despite the mourning, ESPN and others have found various ways to celebrate his memory and life which impacted so many.
The latest tribute to Saunders came in the form of the Canadian flag.
Rather than flying the normal United States flag on campus in Bristol, the World Wide Leader switched things up and flew the Canadian flag as a tribute to Saunders, who was very patriotic and proud of his country.
Normally at the ESPN campus, there's an Anerican flag. But in honor of the deeply patriotic John Saunders it's 🇨🇦 pic.twitter.com/OFygPrKuTR

What a touching gesture.
Saunders was just 61 years old when he passed away, but he made the most of his time and was a very important figure in sports. Everyone is going to miss John Saunders, but his memory will live on forever.
