On Monday, Florida Gators head coach Jim McElwain addressed the media as game week for the season-opener officially kicked off.
During his media session, McElwain addressed the status of wide receivers Tyrie Cleveland and Rick Wells, who were arrested this summer and charged with felonies for shooting a BB gun at the dorm.
Per McElwain, the duo will be suspended for Week 1.

Cleveland was a four-star recruit and the No. 2-ranked wide receiver in the nation. Wells, meanwhile, was a three-star recruit, and a top 10 player at the position. It’s not the way they would have liked to begin their careers, but let’s hope the two true freshman can learn from their mistake and get their careers back on track.
The Gators now turn their focus towards Saturday, Sept. 3 when they open the 2016 season again UMass.
