The Ohio State Buckeyes crushed the Bowling Green Falcons in their season opener, beating them 77-10 and setting a school record for most yards of total offense with 776.
After their dominating win, the Las Vegas sports books seem to be giving them a ton of love.
Quarterback J.T. Barrett finished the game with 349 yards and six touchdowns passing while rushing for 30 yards and another score. After that record-setting performance, he now has the third best Heisman chances, behind Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson and Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey.

The Buckeyes as a whole also helped their chances of winning the national championship. They sit in second behind defending champion Alabama with 5/1 odds to walk away with their second title in three years.

Just to add their good start to Monday, Ohio State is favored by 27 to beat the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at home this weekend. I am sure they will be able to cover that and then some.

It should be a fun season for the Buckeyes and if they continue to do what they did Saturday, there is no reason why they won’t be in the College Football Playoff after missing it in 2015.
