From being a draft pick to an NBA Playoff star, these rookies go through an immense journal to become superstars.
Paolo Banchero
Paolo Banchero, a talented forward, was selected by the Orlando Magic in the first round of the historic 2022 NBA Draft. His impressive statistics before the draft showcased his well-rounded and versatile skill set. As last on our list, Jaden Ivey of the Detroit Pistons was selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. This young guard out of Purdue University has already shown impressive skills on the court, averaging 16.3 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, and 5.2 assists per game while maintaining a 41% field goal percentage and 34% 3-point shooting percentage.
Ivey’s size and athleticism are his main assets, allowing him to create plays on both ends of the court by using his quickness and agility to get past defenders or make tough shots in traffic. Furthermore, he has shown consistent progress throughout college and in his rookie season, proving that he is dedicated to improving himself mentally and physically with each step he takes.
Offensively, Ivey is an adept playmaker, able to pick and choose his spots while also displaying a knack for passing that sets him apart from many other guards in the league. His exceptional ball-handling ability allows him to penetrate defenses and create opportunities for himself and his teammates.
