Trevon Grimes is the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2017 recruiting class and the No. 7 overall player. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound wide receiver from St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) has plenty of eyes on him as he finishes up his high school career, but it appears as though he is heavily leaning towards the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes.
Ohio State was hoping to have Trevon Grimes in Columbus for their record-setting spring game — which had more than 99,300 screaming Buckeyes fans in attendace, the biggest crowd for a spring game in the history of college football — but he was unable to make the trip.
That didn’t stop Grimes from repping the Buckeyes, however.

While there is still plenty of time left in the recruiting process, it would appear that the Buckeyes have the inside track to land the top pass catcher.
