Raccoon-Killing ‘Husker has Truck Stolen

Remember when Nebraska defensive lineman Jack Gangwish killed a raccoon with a wrench back in December? Yeah, well he is back in the news again after someone stole his truck this past weekend. Talk about karma, right?

College Football Talk reported that Gangwish’s truck was stolen between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Maybe it was one of those animal rights activists.

In December, Gangwish found a raccoon on the side of the ride and, just like any other “good ole boy” would do, he decided to play with it. The animal didn’t take to kindly to the gargantuan messing around with him, so it did what any other animal would do. Bit him.

Gangwish then took his anger out on the raccoon and bludgeoned it to death with a wrench. To make matters worse, he bragged about it on social media. That drew all kinds of heat from multiple activist groups, most notable PETA.

An earlier piece by CFT had the headline of “PETA wants Husker who killed raccoon with wrench punished.” While it is not exactly a game suspension, I think having your truck stolen is punishment enough. Maybe next time he won’t leave his keys in the unlocked truck.
