John Calipari Goes on Twitter Rant Following Criticism

On Wednesday, John Calipari made the news by first signing a lucrative contract extension and then saying that his intentions were not to win the 2015 national championship, but to put eight players into the NBA. People immediately began criticizing him, but really his haters just wanted another excuse to bash him.

On Thursday, Calipari took to Twitter to address the criticism, and he was not happy. According to College Spun, Calipari called out those same people, telling them that his ultimate goal is give the kids a better future, and if that meant missing out on the trophy, then so be it.

I get it, Kentucky fans. You guys are upset that the Wildcats didn’t go undefeated and win the national championship, but can you really blame Coach Calipari for wanting to get those kids to the next level? That’s why they went to Kentucky in the first place. You fans just need to be grateful that you even had that much talent for one season.

Besides, Calipari isn’t going anywhere for seven years. You guys will have plenty of opportunity to win a national title.
