It was just a few weeks ago that former Michigan big man Max Bielfeldt made known his intentions to leave the Wolverines’ program and transfer.
Late Tuesday afternoon, Bielfeldt has made the decision on where he would be spending his final year of eligibility. He will not have to travel to far from Ann Arbor as he will be taking his talents to Bloomington and staying within the Big 10.
According to College Spun, Bielfeldt made the announcement via Twitter that he would be transferring to Indiana and would be a Hoosier for the 2015-2016 season.
The decision to play for Coach Tom Crean was made over playing for fellow Big 10 school Nebraska and reigning Big 12 champion Iowa State.

The Hoosiers will benefit greatly from Bielfeldt’s presence after they lost starting center Hanner Mosquera-Perea after he was dismissed from the team.
Bielfeldt will likely be a reserve on the bench to McDonald’s All-American Thomas Bryant, but he will surely help bring the Hoosiers back to the NCAA tournament next season.
The senior forward averaged 5.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per game for the Wolverines last season, while shooting 48 percent from the field.
