Most top-tier college football stars are quick to drop their college career like a bad habit the moment they are drafted to the NFL. We have seen plenty of times where college athletes get drafted to their respective sports’ professional leagues, leave college without getting their degree and then get hurt in their first season and never play sports again.
Then again, there are cases like former UCLA Bruins quarterback Brett Hundley.
In a video posted to Hundley’s Twitter and shared by College Spun, you see the Bruin star decked out in his UCLA robe and a traditional Hawaiian lei receiving his diploma.
While he may not be going directly into his career path of sociology after being drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round, college graduation is still something to be celebrated.

Hundley was instrumental in turning Jim Mora Jr.’s UCLA program around in the last few seasons. Hundley threw for nearly 10,000 yards, threw seventy-five touchdowns and rushed for thirty more. He also led the team to its first Pac-12 South championship in 2012 and the team’s first consecutive ten-win seasons since the 1997 and 1998 seasons in 2013 and 2014.
Hundley will always be remembered as one of the greatest quarterbacks in UCLA history, but his greatest college memory will surely be walking across that stage in Westwood.
