WWE Money in the Bank: Start time and viewing info

The Money in the Bank match is a concept started in WWE back at WrestleMania 21. It’s simple, really. Seven or eight guys beat the heck out of each other to climb a ladder and grab a briefcase. Inside the briefcase is a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship whenever and wherever you want it.

It pretty much guarantees that you will be champion, as it has been cashed in fifteen different times and only twice has there not be a new champion at the end of the match.

The spectacle has even grown into such a phenomenon that WWE created its own pay-per-view aptly named Money in the Bank. The event takes place in June every year and wouldn’t you know it, that time has come once again.

WWE launched its new innovative WWE Network over a year ago. The Network not only has gobs of WWF, WCW, ECW, and WWE action laden throughout, but you can also watch every monthly “special event” on the Network for the low price of just $9.99.

That price includes everything on the Network and the “special event.” Yay! No more begging my parents to shell out sixty bucks every month.

If you do not have the internet capabilities to watch the Network or just aren’t interested in paying ten dollars a month, you can still purchase the special event on large providers such as Charter and Time Warner Cable. The success of the Network subsequently forced Dish Network and DirecTV to drop WWE from its list of monthly PPV offerings.

There are currently six matches on the main card of the show and one bonus match that is special for subscribers of the Network on the monthly “Kick-off Show” that WWE airs one hour before the event starts.

That special match is between 2015 King of the Ring winner King (Wade) Barrett and R-Truth.

The main card features four title matches including the Divas Championship which is being defended by Nikki Bella against Paige, the Tag Team Championship that The New Day is defending against the Prime Time Players, the Intercontinental Championship that Ryback will defend against The Big Show, and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship that Seth Rollins, the 2014 Money in the Bank winner, holds and will defend against Dean Ambrose in a Ladder match. The other two matches is John Cena vs. Kevin Owens and the annual Money in the Bank ladder match.

The night will be full of surprises and risk taking and for subscribers of the Network, the action begins a 7 p.m. for the Kickoff Show and the main show begins at 8 p.m. And don’t forget that the WWE Network is free for the first month to new subscribers, so hurry up and subscribe!
