Texas restaurant trolls Steve Patterson after firing

It has just been 24 hours since the University of Texas fired athletic director Steve Patterson and the city of Austin and its suburbs have already begun celebrating. During his short 22-month tenure in Austin, Patterson was criticized for not having the right demeanor for the Texas AD job.

He was also criticized for grossly increasing the prices of tickets to Longhorn football games.

One Texas restaurant, El Arroyo, changed their marquee to take a bit of a comedic jab at the former administrator. Former NFL player Rod Babers posted a picture of the sign to his Twitter.

We all know where Patterson won’t be eating for a little while, but I’m sure many of the restaurants that Longhorn fans generally prefer probably won’t be welcoming him in with open arms either.
