The Clemson Tigers lost a big piece of their defense during the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma when defensive end Shaq Lawson went down with an apparent knee injury. Luckily, that didn’t hurt them too much as they went on to a big 21-point win.
The Tigers play the Alabama Crimson Tide on Monday, January 11 and they are hoping to get Lawson back for what could be his final game of his college career. He spoke about the injury on Friday and said that there is still a good chance gets to play Monday, despite having a sprained MCL.

Shaq Lawson: There is a 60 percent chance I play

Shaq Lawson says he has a sprained MCL. Gives himself a 60 percent chance to play. Practiced last day at Clemson, limited.

Those chances do somewhat favor Lawson, but 60-percent still isn’t great. The Tigers would certainly benefit from having Lawson on the field Monday at 8:30 p.m. EST on ESPN.
