Clemson TE Jordan Leggett returning for senior season

Clemson tight end Jordan Leggett is one of the highest-rated players at his position for the NFL Draft this year. However, tight ends usually don’t come at a premium price, which is probably one reason why he has decided to return to school for one more season.

During last night’s national championship game against Alabama, Leggett caught five passes for 78 yards and a touchdown. He had a great season for the Tigers and that led to him announcing he would return for his senior season in 2016, according to Clemson beat writer Aaron Brenner.

He had a very simple answer about his decision to return to school when he spoke with Scott Keepfer of The Greenvile (SC) News.

Leggett is one of the two top five tight ends to announce their return as Ole Miss tight end Evan Engram announced his decision in late December.

In the 2015 season, Leggett caught 40 passes for 525 yards and eight touchdowns. He should be one of Deshaun Watson’s best targets for the 2016 season, which will make the Tigers a legitimate contender once again.
