If you are a frequent visitor of the Twitterverse and/or a Tennessee Volunteers football fan, you have likely run across Vols Nation’s favorite new hashtag, “#WGWTFA.”
But what in the world does it actually mean and how was it born?
Well, we have our friends over at Busted Coverage to thank for this one. Founder Joe Kinsey was on the field at the Battle at Bristol between the Vols and Virginia Tech, when players were coming out onto the field.
That is when defensive end Darrell Taylor dropped the now infamous line that went viral and has become a rallying cry/hashtag for the Vols faithful.
And I know you’re probably thinking, “But you still didn’t tell us what #WGWTFA stands for!”
Well, let’s just let Taylor explain:

That’s easy enough. And a legend was born.
With the way the hashtag is growing in popularity, we have a feeling #WGWTFA isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. That is unless the Vols get #TFA’s whooped sometime in the near future. Even then, we hope that Taylor’s words live on forever in infamy.
In the meantime, if you’re a Vols fan or just someone who loves a good ole ass whoopin’, you should buy this t-shirt.
