NFL Draft Results: Bears Trade Up To Take Mitch Trubisky

We have a trade early in the draft this year. The San Francisco 49ers, who held the No. 2 overall pick after struggling to find any consistency last season, have traded back in the first round.
The Chicago Bears traded up aggressively in the draft to move up one spot.
With the pick, the Bears have looked to lock up their quarterback position for the next fifteen years. Mitch Trubisky, the one-year starter out of North Carolina will be wearing a Chicago Bears jersey next season.
After starting only 13 games at the college level, he managed to pole-vault over Clemson quarterback and National Championship winner Deshaun Watson to be the first quarterback taken off the board. As we have seen in previous years, this was likely a reach early in the first round to snatch up a quarterback.
For San Francisco, they move down one spot, and adds the no. 67 and no. 111 picks in this years draft, as well as a third round pick in next years draft.
