NFL Draft Results: Myles Garrett Selected No. 1 By Browns

Ending months of conjecture and speculation, the Cleveland Browns have added what they hope will be a cornerstone of their franchise for years to come. With the first selection in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns selected Myles Garret, the talented defensive end out of Texas A&M.
In three years with Texas A&M, Garrett built an impressive resume and paved the way for his first overall selection. He amassed a total of 31 sacks in only 34 games. His junior season was the best of all three.
He tallied 15 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Garrett was the consensus best player in this years draft and he will be expected to slot into the starting rotation right away.
The Browns managed only one win last season. With another pick in the first round, the Browns still have a number of options at their disposal to fill their remaining needs, namely quarterback.
Congratulations to Myles Garrett, the top prospect in this years rookie class.
