Daniel Negreanu Reminds Everyone Why He’s A Poker Legend

Most people will break a sweat betting for a few bucks with their buds. Their voice cracks, you can hear the hesitation or their tense quiver. So what do you do when there are thousands, upon thousands of dollars on the table?

If you’re Daniel Negreanu, you use every ounce of your cunning to take the hand.

The poker legend has hauled in over $33 million in winnings plying his trade at the World Series of Poker. You don’t make that much cheese getting lucky, sometimes you need to resort to mind games and convince your opponent to beat themselves.

The 42-year old Canadian champion was back in full effect on Tuesday.

Negreanu treated everyone to some insight to how his mind works in real time during the 2017 hold ’em tournament.

His opponent should have known better, though. Saumont invited dialogue with Negreanu by attempting to guess what he was holding: “10-7?”, he asked. It was all she wrote from there.

You can see Saumont’s brain working a mile-a-minute as he is worked over by a master.
