Auburn Tigers cornerback Jonathon Mincy was charged and arrested with a second-degree marijuana possession on Friday.
Per ESPN and Alex Scarborough, Mincy was a passenger in the vehicle that was pulled over for speeding prior to his arrest.
Mincy has been a starter the past three seasons for the defending SEC champions. He finished last season with 56 tackles and one interception. He was also second on the team with 14 pass breakups.
Auburn is one of the favorites to win another SEC title this upcoming season. They return 14 starters and will be hard to stop on offense once again.
They open their season Saturday, August 30th at home against the Arkansas Razorbacks at 3 p.m. ET.
