Miami Hurricanes head coach Al Golden has been hot on the recruiting trail lately.
The Canes’ Fourth of July holiday got even better when they received a verbal commitment from 2016 Gulliver Prep (Miami, FL) wide receiver Dionte Mullins. Mullins (5’10, 175) is one of the best prospects at the position in the 2016 class and is expected to be a Top 100 overall player.
“It just felt good that I could commit on the Fourth of July,” Mullins said. “I committed to coach (Al) Golden. He was just happy that I committed.”
“I probably won’t take other visits, am not really considering anywhere else,” he added.
Mullins chose Miami over Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, among others.
Although it is very early, Golden is off to a great start for the 2016 class.
The next day, 2015 Central High School (Baton Rouge, LA) wide receiver Terell Chatman also pledged to join the Hurricanes.
Chatman (6’4, 185), a 3 star prospect, chose Miami over Arizona and Arizona State. Although he is a solid commitment, Chatman will visit other schools.
According to Rivals.com. Miami is ranked as the No. 11 overall recruiting class for 2015.
