The Jim Thorp Award watch list has been released today, naming 39 defensive backs fighting for glory this upcoming season. The ‘Thorpe’ is named after former gold medal Olympian and standout football star Jim Thorpe, dating back to 1986. Being named to the Thorpe watch list is a huge honor, as it only hosts a small number of defensive backs across the country.
