NC State, West Virginia To Play in ’18 And ’19

The NC State Wolfpack and West Virginia Mountaineers have announced a home-and-home series that will begin in 2018.

The first game will be played on September 15, 2018 in Raleigh and the second game will be played the following year in Morgantown on September 14, 2019.

Out of ten previous meetings between the programs, the two have split to an even five. They last met in the 2010 Champs Sports Bowl where the wolfpack won 23-7.

West Virginia athletic director Oliver Luck spoke about the upcoming games.

“I am excited about this series, because it gives our football program and our fans an outstanding home-and-home series with a team from the ACC,” said West Virginia athletic director Oliver Luck in a release. “WVU has a lot of alumni living in North Carolina, especially in the triangle region, so it gives our fans a game that is close. We have had a competitive games over the years with NC State, and this is a chance to restart the series.”
