Darnell Salomon, a 5-star 2016 wide receiver from Hollywood, Fl, has a warrant out for his arrest after being named the main suspect in a dorm burglary. Salomon was at the University of Georgia this past weekend participating in Dawg Night, UGA’s annual summer recruiting event.
Salomon is accused of entering the room of two female athletes at around 7:30 a.m. Saturday when they woke up due to disturbance. After the burglar fled the scene, they realized a wallet and an iPhone5 was missing from their belongings. Salomon is the main suspect in the investigation. By the time Salomon was identified as the suspect and the UGA football administration was notified, he had already returned to Florida. No further information has been released about whether or not Salomon has turned himself in or if he is planning to.
“When the facts in the case come out we’re all sure Darnell Salomon will be cleared of all charges,” Mike Tunsil, head coach of Champagnat Catholic High School, told 247Sports.com.
The 6-foot-2, 175 pound wide receiver is ranked 21st overall and 3rd in his position in the nation. He has 18 offers thus far including ones from Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Clemson and Georgia.
