Brian Cole Stays Home, Picks Michigan

Staying home has been the popular trend in sports this month, thanks to NBA superstar LeBron James.

That did not change when Heritage (Saginaw, Michigan) athlete Brian Cole (6’2,190) decided to take his talents to Ann Arbor and play for the Michigan Wolverines.

Cole announced on Twitter that he is “Staying Home” with a picture similar to the one James posted in his Sports Illustrated article. He will play wide receiver for the Wolverines.

According to Rivals.com, Cole is the No. 106 overall player in the country and the seventh ranked athlete. He the second ranked prospect in the state of Michigan, behind Cass Tech (Detroit, Michigan) running back Mike Weber.

Cole becomes the ninth player to commit to Michigan’s 2015 class and is easily their best offensive prospect to commit thus far.

He chose the Wolverines over Illinois, Michigan State, Nebraska, Purdue, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
