“I’m excited. He did a good job of keeping it real and just being that role model and throughout recruiting he’s been consistent.”

Lewis will have two years of eligibility to play for the Gamecocks.

The 6’4, 270-pounder chose South Carolina over a slew of big-time programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Miami (FL) and USC, among others.

The South Carolina native is excited to play for his home state.

“I still have something to prove. I want to put on for my state. My friends and family are going to be here. It’s going to be an amazing time.”
