Notre Dame wide receiver Torii Hunter Jr., the son of Detroit Tigers outfielder Tori Hunter, will miss the next 4-6 weeks of football-related activities due to a groin tear.
The South Bend Tribune reported that Hunter was seen Saturday using crutches.
Hunter was unable to play his freshman season due to an injury he suffered during a practice for the All-American Army bowl in January, 2013. He was a four star prospect coming out of high school.
Head coach Brian Kelly also noted that wide receiver DaVaris Daniels has also been hampered by a groin injury, although it is not believed to be one of serious concern.
