Prince Ali Selects UCLA

The UCLA men’s basketball program has a proud tradition of winning national championships and producing talented players, and is widely considered among the country’s few “blueblood” schools.  Add Prince Ali to that long list of talented athletes to commit themselves to Bruins basketball.

The 6’4’’ guard has verbally committed to the school as a member of the class of 2015.  The lengthy athlete will provide head coach Steve Alford with great versatility on both ends of the floor and should be an immediate impact player.  Ali attends The Sagemont School in Pembroke Pines, Florida and chose the Bruins over Georgia Tech, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, and Nebraska.

Ali, the 44th ranked player, was originally committed to Connecticut, but decided it was in his best interests to reopen his college search. Ali will join back court mate and fellow member of the ESPN Top 100, Aaron Holiday (younger brother of UCLA alum and NBA All-Star Jrue Holiday).  The future appears very bright for UCLA basketball and Prince should be an integral part of the program’s success.
