Clemson Loses RB Zac Brooks For Season

The grim reaper of college football sacked another key player for the 2014 season in Clemson running back Zac Brooks.  Just a junior, Brooks is the team’s top returning rusher having galloped for 246 yards.  Brooks suffered a foot injury on Monday, and head coach Dabo Swinney announced on Wednesday that Brooks will be forced to miss the entire season.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel for Brooks, who will have two more years of eligibility remaining upon his return.

It appears that the Tigers will now turn to redshirt senior D.J. Howard, but the team has a handful of other options including several underclassmen.  The dark horses may prove to be either Adam Choice or C.J. Fuller.  Both are ESPN Top 300 prospects and a good camp could catapult either one into the starting role.
