2015 four-star athlete George Campbell of Tarpon Springs, FL, has committed to the Florida State Seminoles. Campbell narrowed his choices down to Florida State, Florida and LSU before committing Friday afternoon.
“This is a great opportunity and I am pretty much blessed to have all these opportunities,” Campbell said at his commitment announcement. “I am going to Florida State University.”
Campbell’s ability to play on both sides of the ball has landed him 39 offers from schools from every major conference. 247 sport’s composite rankings have Campbell listed as the 41st overall prospect in the nation, seventh wide receiver in the nation and 10th overall in the state of Florida.
He will become the 20th commit in Florida State’s 2015 recruiting class and is the 13th four-star player to join the Seminoles this recruiting cycle. Campbell’s commitment to the reigning national champions bumps them up to the third best 2015 recruiting class according to 247 Sports.
The former Michigan commit confirmed that his commitment today would be his final commitment. Campbell will be an early enrollee for the Seminoles and will make an official visit on September 20th when the Clemson Tigers play Florida State in Doak Campbell Stadium.
