Kevin Olsen, brother of current Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen, has been suspended from all Miami Hurricane related football activities after being charged with driving under the influence and possession of a false driver’s license.
The backup quarterback was booked according to Miami-Dade County jail records at approximately 4:11 am Monday morning and was being held on $6,000 bail.
A four-star recruit out of high school, Olsen has seen his fair share of ups and downs at Miami.. He was first arrested for leaving the scene of crime prior to setting foot on campus and was later suspended on two separate occasions. Still, Olsen was the favorite to be named the starting quarterback heading into training camp before being suspended two games for a violation of team standards.
Olsen has yet to play a snap as a member of the Miami Hurricanes football program.
***** Update, Sept.16, 1:02 PM: NBC Sports Talk has reported that Kevin Olsen is no longer a student at the University of Miami.
