Texas A&M freshman wide out Speedy Noil has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against SMU due to an unspecified injury. The injury occurred during last week’s 38-10 win over Rice, when Noil limped off the field before ultimately needing a golf cart to be taken to the locker room. The diagnosis remains undisclosed, but it could be a concern for the (6) Aggies as they enter conference play.
The five star recruit has totaled 324 all-purpose yards through his first three collegiate games and will be sorely missed against the upset-minded Mustangs.
Head coach Kevin Sumlin was dismissive when asked about the injury.
“He wont play this weekend. I’ll update you next week,” Sumlin said.
The anticipation for an answer on Noil’s status is high, because if he is seriously hurt and will miss extended time it could limit the Aggies’ offense moving forward.
