Auburn Safety Jermaine Whitehead Remains Suspended

-

Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn announced safety Jermaine Whitehead will remain suspended and will miss his second straight game when the Tigers face off against Louisiana Tech on Saturday. Whitehead will not be allowed on the sidelines either.

Auburnundercover.com first reported that Whithead was suspended stemming from a verbal altercation with a coach.

Cornerback Josh Holsey moved to safety in place of Whitehead and garnered SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance against Kansas State. The junior recorded a career-high 11 tackles in the 20-14 win over the Wildcats.

Auburn is currently a 33-point favorite to win this Saturday against Louisiana Tech. You can catch the game at 4 p.m. ET on SEC Network/Watch ESPN.
