Jay Williams, Seth Greenberg Join College Gameday Crew

Throughout the weeks leading up to the NCAA March Madness, fans tune in to ESPN almost every weekend hoping to satisfy their fix for college basketball.  Some of the familiar faces Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and Rece Davis remain, but the program has decided to add two big name analysts to the College Gameday panel.  Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams will become the newest members of the crew.

Greenberg, the former Virginia Tech head coach, has been a staple on ESPN’s Sportscenter as a recurring guest to talk about college basketball.  His rise to stardom has been rather different from Jay Williams, a former Duke star guard that saw his NBA career end prematurely after a serious motorcycle injury. Still, each analyst brings a unique perspective and personality to the crew, and it will be intriguing to see how the group interacts as a whole.

Fans will get their first look at the group of analysts when the Champions Classic begins on November 18.  The double-header pits four top programs against each other featuring Duke, Kentucky, Kansas and Michigan State. The Champions Classic will be the highlight of the annual 24-hour tip off that ESPN runs to kick off the new season.
