The Duke Blue Devils might not be the deepest team in college basketball, but they know how win and dominate in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
This is especially true of Duke Center Jahlil Okafor who was named the ACC Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and picked up First-Team All ACC honor as well as First-Team All ACC Freshmen honors.
Well, when you are second in the ACC in scoring with 17.6 points-per-game and third in rebounding at 9.2 per game, it’s pretty safe to say you are going to take home some hardware. To make his numbers even crazier, Okafor has scored 10 or more points in 29 of his 30 games heading into the ACC Tournament.
Did we mention Okafor has 11 double-doubles on the season too?
He wasn’t the only Blue Devil getting some praise as as Quinn Cook picked up Second Team All-ACC, while Tyus Jones added a Third Team All-ACC and All-Freshman Team plaque to his collection. Justise Winslow was named to the All-ACC Freshman Team to round out the honors for Duke.
Virginia Cavaliers head coach Tony Bennett took home his second-straight ACC Coach of the Year honor to go along with his second-straight regular season title the Cavaliers. Virginia is the first ACC team outside of the state of North Carolina to repeat as regular-season champs.
So who else took home what?
