In what was a jam packed week of crazy finishes and heroic performances, it’s March and let the madness ensue.
Dick Vitale is loud, obnoxious, and getting close to the age where ESPN should evaluate diminishing his role. Oh and guess what?! He’s creepy too. UK super fan Ashley Judd and him shared a moment prior to Kentucky’s SEC championship win against Arkansas; which I’m sure went just like this. Dick Vitale: “hey Ashley do you need a good luck kiss?” Ashley: “No Dick this is the 5th time you’ve asked me this”. Dick: “Okay, I’m going to kiss you right on the lips anyway”.
Puddles, the Oregon mascot is weird and so is Bill Walton so this picture pretty much encompasses both of their personalities.
Auburn played LSU Friday in the SEC Quarterfinals and somehow they won despite having two players almost Mike Tyson the ever loving stuff out of two LSU players. The first punch is pretty subtle and could be mistaken for an accidental slap in the face. The second video shows Auburn’s Jordon Granger making fist to temple contact followed by him running away. He was subsequently suspended for the semifinal game against Kentucky in which they lost by like 200 bazillion points.
Ole Miss lost to South Carolina in the SEC Tournament on the stupidest play ever. Up one with 2.3 seconds to play, Ole Miss guard Ladarius White fouled South Carolina guard Tyrone Johnson on a desperation 3-pointer. Johnson made all three free throws and ex- Ole Miss guard/crazy person Marshall Henderson was stunned.
Maybe the key to winning is picking your teammate’s nose. All I’m saying is VCU hasn’t lost since this happened in the Atlantic 10 Quarterfinal win against Richmond.
Virginia Tech head coach Buzz Williams picked a not so opportune time to coach up a young girl trying to make a free throw to win $500 at the ACC Tournament Wednesday. Down one to Miami with less than 10 minutes to go, he left the huddle during a timeout to instruct her. She won the money, he lost the game.
#Pac12AfterDark is a thing in football because of the craziness that seems to always ensue in that conference after 10pm during its conference football games. Apparently it’s now moved to basketball too. Meet Joseph Young, Oregon’s star player and Pac 12 player of the year. ONIONS! ONIONS! ONIONS!
