Kentucky Fan Gets a Championship Tattoo

Getting a tattoo is one of those decisions where you should put a lot of thought into what you’re going to get. It should be something meaningful since it will be on your body the rest of your life.

But Kentucky basketball fan Rock Wright decided to truly show how much the team means to him by getting a tattoo that says the team will go the rest of the season undefeated with a 40-0 record and will become the National Champions.

This is extremely daring and risky on this fan’s part. He’s putting a lot of faith into a team that could easily lose their next game and tarnish not only their undefeated record, but also their chance of winning the tournament.

The tattoo not only has the record of the predicted undefeated champions, but it also has the university logo, and an image of the team mascot, a wildcat inside the claw marks.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this. Last year, a different Kentucky fan also got a tattoo of the National Championship for UK. Unfortunately for that fan, they dropped the championship in the final game to UConn.

I feel that this fan is a little too excited and may have made a huge mistake that will be a part of him for the rest of his life. Yes, the Kentucky Wildcats are the favorite to win the tournament after almost winning last year, and having a perfect season so far this year. But putting something so permanent on your body when they haven’t won yet is just a little stupid.

College basketball is one of those sports where the underdogs come out on top. The team that you don’t expect to win sometimes does win, and the team in the number one seed may lose.

I guess we’ll just have to see if this fan ends up regretting his decision or not, and hope Kentucky comes out on top for his sake.
