410-pound Baylor Bears tight end LaQuan McGowan is listed as a spring co-starter, giving hope that there will be plenty of fat man TDs in 2015.

410-pound TE LaQuan McGowan listed as Baylor co-starter

The Baylor Bears have listed LaQuan McGowan as a co-starter on the team’s post-spring depth chart.

If the name rings a bell, that is because McGowan is the 410-pound tight end that captured America’s hearts. Everyone loves to see a “fat man touchdown” and the internet often loses their mind when those occur, so Baylor could be setting themselves to be a must-watch team week in and week out with the possibility of LaQuan McGowan taking it to the house.

Remember this from a season ago?

McGowan is a co-starter alongside the 6-foot-6, 270 pound junior Tre’Von Armstead.

Art Briles is setting himself up to become an American hero.

While McGowan and Armstead appear poised to split reps at the tight end position, the biggest question for the Baylor Bears is at quarterback. Who will replace Bryce Petty under center? Only time will tell. But none of that will matter.

Just get LaQuan McGowan the ball. Feed him and feed him often. It will make the world a better place.
