Campus Sports recently caught up with former Bethune-Cookman star Stevie Baggs Jr., who went on to play in the NFL and CFL. During the exclusive sitdown, Baggs recounted some of his favorite moments from his playing career and life after football which includes a book, titled Greater Than the Game, chronicling his journey through life.
During his career at Bethune-Cookman, Baggs was a three-time All-American and the recipient of the Ernie Davis and Black College Football Defensive Player of the Year Award.
After football, Baggs has found his way as a philanthropist, author and actor who you can see on the big screen in Focus with Will Smith.
With his work off the gridiron to empower and motivate youth and adults, Baggs was honored as the City of Atlanta’s Health & Wellness Ambassador by Mayor Kasim Reed.
