The 2013 recruiting class for Texas A&M has been one to forget for Aggie fans.
On Monday, wide receiver LaQuvionte Gonzalez took to Twitter to announce he would be transferring out of College Station.
According to SB Nation, Gonzalez’s transfer leaves A&M with two receivers left from the 2013 recruiting class after taking in six originally.
Luckily for Texas A&M, the wide receiver position is one of their strengths, led by sophomore Speedy Noil who is poised to have a breakout season.
During his time as an Aggie, Gonzalez looked like he would have a promising career after playing in 13 games his freshman season. However, his playing time dwindled in 2014 and he recorded only five catches for 77 yards.
Although Gonzalez’s transfer will cause a dent in the Aggies’ depth at wide receiver, their offense should be potent once again in 2015.
