Nevada basketball just got a boost as former Missouri State guard Marcus Marshall announced his commitment to the Wolf Pack earlier today after announcing he was going to leave the team back in January.
The news was first reported by Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com.
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 19.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game and shot 45 percent from the field as well as from 3-point range in 14 games last season.
Back in January, Marshall was suspended for conduct detrimental to the team after reportedly getting into verbal altercations with the team’s head coach Paul Lusk and Marshall decided to leave the team two days later.
While this is a great addition for the Wolfpack and new Nevada head coach Eric Musselman, he will have to sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules and will have one year of eligibility remaining when he returns for the 2016-17 season.
