North Carolina baseball team hosts Bacon Night

Usually it’s Minor League Baseball that comes up with awesome midweek promotions to get people to come to the ballpark, but the North Carolina Tar Heels on Tuesday did exactly what every team in the country should do.

Bacon Night.

The first 200 students at the game got a free bowl of bacon like this one:

Pretty good deal to get some free bacon and a souvenir helmet to go with it.

Some people got into the bacon spirit in a different way, like this guy:

But if the bacon giveaways and unique concession items weren’t enough, the Tar Heels may have added the best detail to the swine-themed night.

The scoreboard had player videos over a sizzling plate of bacon, and then wait for the pig going by at the end of it.

The only way that this could have been executed any better was if North Carolina was playing Arkansas, because Hogs. Or if Kevin Bacon had made a guest cameo.

UNC also got the win, defeating the Campbell Camels by a score of 8-3. So overall, Bacon Night at the Bosh was a success on every level.
