5-Star Brandon Ingram says UNC received NCAA allegations

During a recent sitdown with  ESPNU’s Matt Schick, five-star SF recruit Brandon Ingram, who has yet to commit to a program, made an interested comment when he mentioned information he recently learned.

According to Ingram, he was informed on April 17 that the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team had received a notice of NCAA allegations.

Those issues have kept the five-star prospect from committing to the Tar Heels and he briefly commented on the issue during his interview.

“[Head coach Roy Williams] talked privately a little bit, but they just got the allegations April 17, so we’ll go from there, and tomorrow with the next in-home visit we’ll see what happens,” Ingram said.

There was no further detail on what the allegations are, but it appears to be a separate issue from the academic issues that the Tar Heels have been dealing with in recent years.

If Ingram is correct that UNC received allegations on April 17, we should all learn more information soon.

Ingram is choosing between Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
