Indiana Hoosiers fans have a reason to celebrate. On Thursday, reports surfaced that high-scoring guard James Blackmon Jr. is set to return to the program for his sophomore year, according to a report from Peegs.com.
Blackmon averaged 15.7 points per game during his freshman campaign and seemed to be a natural fit in Tom Crean’s system.
According to the most recent draft projects, Blackmon was not expected to be selected in the 2015 or 2016 draft, so the decision to return to school is a smart one. If Blackmon can continue to develop, he could find himself rising up draft boards.
The next question for the Indiana Hoosiers basketball program is whether Yogi Ferrell will return to school.
Ferrell is set to make his announcement on Saturday.
